Monty coaches Middleton Rangers!

Middleton Rangers Under-11’s benefited from the experience of Sunderland’s 1973 FA Cup final hero Jim Montgomery at a recent coaching session when the Sunderland legend put the newly promoted team through their paces in preparation for the new season.

Noel Young, who runs the Middleton St George-based team along with Dave Nelson, said: ‘The session was enjoyed by everyone at the club and I would like to thank Jim for generously giving up his time, it was a terrific gesture.’
